Chilemonos Trophy
3D-Printed Sculpture – Designed and Fabricated In-House
This unique trophy was born out of necessity during the COVID-19 pandemic, when traditional production was interrupted and the Chilemonos Festival—one of the largest Spanish-language animation festivals in the world and an official Oscar-qualifying event—had to reinvent itself from the underground of our home. With our usual supplier unable to deliver, we decided to design and fabricate the awards ourselves using 3D modeling and home printing techniques.
The trophy takes the form of a charismatic red robot—a stylized figure inspired by classic animation characters and toy aesthetics. Its head is a red cube with droopy, sleepy eyes and small rounded ears, giving it a whimsical personality. The torso features a retro-styled TV screen that displays the Chilemonos logo, emphasizing the festival’s deep connection to animated media. The arms and legs are long, thin, and expressive, and the figure stands upright on a red cube base engraved with the award category.
