Shroomies 3D Comic

Shroomies 3D Comic is a diorama I created during my first year of university. It’s designed to function in 360 degrees, telling a narrative as the viewer walks around it. Each side reveals a new chapter in the story—a comic that unfolds spatially, rather than across panels.

The piece is set in a forest populated by oversized mushrooms and faceless, white silhouette figures. Scattered throughout the environment are small signs and text elements that guide the viewer through the journey, offering fragments of dialogue, clues, or poetic cues. Some signs offer direction, others provoke questions. Together, they create a surreal path—half dream, half allegory.

I was interested in how storytelling could exist off the page, how comics could become immersive worlds. Shroomies 3D Comic blurs the line between sculpture, narrative, and environment. It invites the viewer to physically navigate the plot, like walking through someone else’s memory, or maybe your own dream.
