PUPPET HEAD "JIM"

Puppet Head “JIM” is one of those creatures that came to me fully formed in a sketchbook, with wild eyes, oversized gums, and a ridiculous mustache of felt. I wanted to build a character that felt like a puppet, a mask, and a living cartoon all at once. JIM lives somewhere between costume and sculpture—a big, fluffy head with chaotic energy and a kind of theatrical absurdity.

When I wear JIM, I feel like I disappear and something else takes over. It’s loud without making a sound. It exaggerates everything—gesture, emotion, expression—almost like a caricature of human behavior. I built it using soft materials: faux fur, foam, felt, and plastic elements, all stitched and glued with the logic of a creature that could exist in its own universe.

JIM isn’t just a puppet, it’s a presence. A little creepy, a little hilarious, and always a bit too much. That’s exactly what I love about it.
