FLEXIBLE MATERIALS
Shroomies Jester Mask

Shroomies Jester Mask is one of my weirdest hybrids—a mix between a jester, a mushroom, and a creature from some candy-colored nightmare. I wanted to create a character that felt festive and terrifying at the same time. The oversized cap is inspired by toxic mushrooms and carnival hats, stitched in bright pinks and whites to play with contrast between sweetness and poison.

The mask has multiple eyes, all staring in different directions, and a long felt tongue that sticks out like it’s mid-scream or mid-laugh—you can’t really tell. That ambiguity is what excites me. It walks a fine line between costume and creature, between something you wear and something that seems to wear you.

Made with soft materials like fleece and stuffed details, it feels cozy and unsettling all at once. With Shroomies Jester Mask, I’m playing with identity, disguise, and the absurd theatre of being something—or someone—else.
