CERAMIC
Cthulhu Booty Cheeks

Cthulhu Booty Cheeks This piece was created as part of a ceramics class at university. Inspired by the cosmic horror universe of H.P. Lovecraft, I reimagined Cthulhu—the iconic creature—as a humorous, satirical character.

The sculpture blends the grotesque with the absurd, focusing on exaggerated body shapes—especially the prominent backside—as a playful focal point. Using hand-built techniques and glossy glazes, I explored the contrast between mystery and comedy, turning a figure typically associated with fear into something oddly endearing.

Projects like this allow me to push the boundaries of pop culture icons while experimenting with the expressive potential of ceramics.
