CERAMIC
FrankenDuckie

FrankenDuckie is one of the ceramic exercises I completed in my ceramics class. In this project, I revisited the iconic rubber duck theme and reimagined it as a Frankenstein-inspired character. I transformed the familiar bath toy into a grotesque yet playful creature by incorporating stitched details, angular features, and contrasting glazes that evoke the patchwork nature of Frankenstein’s monster.

Working in ceramics allowed me to experiment with form and surface, blending horror with humor in a way that challenged my skills and pushed the boundaries of conventional sculptural narratives. FrankenDuckie not only reflects my interest in reinterpreting everyday objects through unexpected genres, but also represents a moment of creative exploration in my ceramics class.
