DINONUGGETS

Dinonuggets is a sculptural exploration of collective memory and the visceral comforts of childhood. Created specifically for an exhibition centered on the concept of nostalgia, this series translates a fleeting, perishable snack into a permanent, tactile installation. Using 3D printing and a saturated, vibrant orange palette, I have captured the iconic silhouettes of the Stegosaurus, the T-Rex, and their prehistoric companions, elevating them from the cafeteria tray to the gallery pedestal.The work functions as a piece of «edible archaeology.» For many, these shapes are more than just food; they are relics of a shared past—a universal symbol of a time when the world was smaller, simpler, and filled with wonder.

By rendering them in this rigid, sculptural form, the pieces sit at the intersection of play and preservation. The uniform, porous texture of the sculpture mimics the breaded surface of the original nugget, yet its permanence invites a deeper contemplation. Are these playful toys, or are they monuments to a lost era? Dinonuggets challenges the viewer to confront their own history through the lens of a mass-produced icon.In this series, the «nugget» becomes a vessel for emotion. It is an invitation to revisit the sensory landscape of youth—the smell, the taste, and the joy of a prehistoric world served on a plate. It is the moment where childhood hunger meets adult reflection, turning a simple memory into a tangible, enduring reality.
