The piece is designed to sit uncomfortably between delight and horror.<\/span><\/p>\n The glossy acrylic finish gives the figures a toy-like sheen, but their expressions hint at deeper emotional chaos. The strings that connect Danny to the balloons function like veins or thoughts or puppet lines\u2014fragile connections between self and other, creator and creation.<\/span><\/p>\n Danny Balloon is the moment when an idea escapes its paper body and becomes real, tangible, and unstable.
