Meat Grinder<\/strong> is one of my most chaotic soft sculptures\u2014part plush toy, part anatomical disaster, and entirely grotesque. I started with the idea of a creature whose insides were always trying to escape: gums, teeth, tongues, muscle, flesh\u2014everything spilling out like a cartoonish horror show.<\/span><\/p>\n I built it with soft materials: fleece, felt, fake teeth, and rubbery plastic limbs. The outside is deceptively cute, almost like a neon plush alien, but the inside reveals a violent smile, twisted and overflowing with hand-sculpted gums and oversized teeth. It\u2019s a contradiction I love\u2014tactile and huggable, yet a bit revolting.<\/span><\/p>\n With Meat Grinder<\/strong>, I wanted to push the line between attraction and disgust, comfort and discomfort. It\u2019s the kind of object that invites you to touch it, only to make you instantly regret it.
