Anas Biceps Gigantor exaggerates the human body to the point of absurdity, transforming the duck (anas in Latin) into a heroic, overbuilt figure. The project began with a question: what is \u201cgood art\u201d? In Western tradition, Greek and Roman marble sculpture has long been upheld as the \u201ctrue\u201d or \u201cpure\u201d expression of art. \nAnas Biceps Gigantor is at once a critique and a love letter: it undermines the authority of \u201cclassical\u201d and \u201cmodern\u201d ideals of sculpture, while embracing the possibilities of new technologies in artmaking. It is digital sculpture that mimics the traditional, a plastic statue pretending to be chiseled stone\u2014layered satire on art history, cultural standards, and the future of sculpture\u00a0itself.<\/span>
