I took parts from a Gundam model kit\u2014specifically the sprue frame and a pair of clear plastic legs\u2014and reassembled them into a fully operational phone stand. It\u2019s both a joke and a design solution, a weird little mech altar for your smartphone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">I love recontextualizing mass-produced objects, especially ones charged with nostalgia or pop culture value. Here, the frame that\u2019s usually thrown away becomes the main structure, and the robot legs\u2014iconic and full of heroic symbolism\u2014are reduced to humble supports. It\u2019s playful, but also a commentary on how we assign meaning to things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">With Gundam Phone Stand, I wanted to merge function and sculpture, turning a leftover object into something that feels almost ceremonial.
